Version 0.2 coming soon


They came to wreak Hell had a pretty rushed dev cycle to finish in time for the NESDEV 2022 competition, and as such has a few features missing from it I wanted to add and a few bugs. Most of the features have been added and the bugs fixed, so I should be uploading 0.2 shortly. It'll probably have to be to a different page for now, as the current page is (understandably) fixed for the duration of the jam.


Coming soon:

-New title screen

-Better options to resume a game

Select from continue, which will start you back on the last level you died from, and warp to, allowing you to jump to a level if you've played a bit of the game before. Warp to is what is inTue current version (0.1) by the way.

-New weapon graphics - this will hopefully make it much clearer what the weapons are you are picking up

-New game gui - so you can more clearly see what weapons and ammo you have left, and what is selected

-End of level stat screens, showing you time taken,  items collected and blobs dispatched back to wherever the hell they came from

-A very quick palette cleanup of doorways and doorway blockers to make what is walkable and an obstacle a bit more obvious

-A congralations screen for winning the game.
